Well we thought that Samsung must be busy with Galaxy S8 launch. But that does not seem to be the case. The company was also working on other product side by side. Here, the term “product” refers to the OS update for the company’s Note 5 smartphone. Yes!!! You heard it right. The company has decided to roll out the new Android 7.0 Nougat update for its Note 5 smartphone. Let us have a look at the specs of the smartphone.

Samsung to Roll Nougat for Note 5

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has a screen resolution of 1440 x 2560 with a 5.7-inch screen. It offers Super AMOLED touchscreen with 75.9% of screen to body ratio. It also has a protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 4 with a pixel density of 518 ppi.

Coming towards the software and hardware updates, the device currently runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It is powered by Exynos 7420 Octa processor and has a GPU set of Mali-T760MP8. The handset also offers 4 GB of RAM along with 32 GB/64 GB/128 GB of internal memory. The memory cannot be extended with the help of MicroSD card.

Moving towards the camera, the handset has 16 MP of rear camera with f/1.9 aperture, LED flash, and autofocus. The device also has 5 MP of front camera with f/1.9 aperture. In the end, the smartphone has a battery worth 3,000 mAh power that is capable of giving 22 hours of talk time and 64 hours of music play time. The device is available in gold platinum, black sapphire, white pearl, and silver titan color variants.

Well, the new Android 7.0 Nougat update is sure to boost the performance of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5. The phone was launched in August 2015. At the time of launch, the smartphone was compatible with Android 5.0 only. But now, the Samsung fans will be happy to hear this news.
